Donald Kuper and Armand Alesandrini both served with the fourth Marine Division and went through the same campaigns until Armand was killed on Iwo Jima. I do not know if they were together within the Division or not. A Division has thousands of men and so it is possible they never knew the other was there. Let us never forget the Marines' sacrifice. |
